Rateable value
The VOA's estimate of a property's annual open-market rent, used to calculate business rates.
The rateable value is the Valuation Office Agency's estimate of the annual rent a non-domestic property could let for at a set valuation date. Your business rates bill is the rateable value multiplied by the multiplier, minus any relief.
