VOA data terms
The rateable value information on this site comes from the Valuation Office Agency (VOA) non-domestic rating list for England and Wales.
Source and licence
This data is published by the VOA and is notavailable under the Open Government Licence. It is provided under the VOA's own restricted terms and conditions. By using the rateable value data shown on checkbusinessrates, you agree that those same VOA terms and conditions apply to your use of it.
How we use it
We use the rating list to cross-check the rateable value on your bill, surface comparable properties, and power our area pages. We use the data strictly in line with VOA guidelines.
Check an individual property
For the official, up-to-date valuation of a specific property, and to raise a Check or Challenge, use the GOV.UK service:

Accuracy
We refresh the rating list periodically and show when our copy was last updated. checkbusinessrates is an analysis tool, not a regulated valuer. Always confirm figures with the VOA or your council before acting.
