Business rates multiplier
The pence-in-the-pound figure applied to your rateable value to work out the bill.
The multiplier (or 'poundage') is set nationally each year and applied to your rateable value to calculate the gross bill. For 2026/27 the standard multiplier is 48.0p, the small business multiplier 43.2p, and the retail, hospitality & leisure multiplier 38.2p.
